Zen Transformation Tarot Readings
What surprises might lie in store for you when you have a reading with me?
Recent exchanges at an international Mind Body and Spirit Fair included the following:
A police officer, long serving and being considered for promotion. She confirmed that the process had already begun. The signs looked promising. She has promised to let me know.
A life changing holiday in the Middle East that had profound consequences. The client revealed that she and her family had arrived back only a day before we met.
That a career opportunity and offer meant that she was relocating and taking the family with her.
A recovery journey that was already underway for an individual dealing with a traumatic and debilitating life event. She took away hope and inspiration from our meeting. Also a plan for better self care and action.
The gift of an unexpected legacy, recieved from a distant relative with zero previous contact and now likely assist in changing a family life for the better.
Finally an individual dealing with complex property issues and finding it difficult to choose between two professional guides, one a proffesional marketer and the other a skilful and experienced friend.
Both appeared in her reading and now she knew which one to rely on for help.
Not one of these clients volunteered any information before we began. We quiten our minds, mix the cards and I turn them and read in sequence. Then a conversation ensues.
A little bit of magic happens every time.
And all in a single day of work! Very satisfying indeed.

Charles Darwin did not say that the strongest survive. He noted that the organisms that adapted best to their changing environments were the ones to survive, to flourish.
And so it is with us.
Zen is change. Nothing is static and nothing remains the same. Once we grasp this concept, we can let go more easily of fixed beliefs and expectations.
Life is a river, filled with myriad streams and eddies, winds whip the surface and then, for a while, all is calm.
Knowing this, we can adapt to changes, even unexpected ones. We can take advantage of the still times to balance ourselves, look ahead and set our goals and objectives.
Being balanced, we can also survive the storms of life. Who here has not already done this?
My Transformation Tarot help us see into the mist that sometimes descends.
It points a knowing finger to the energies at play in your life right now and looks ahead to the future.
An ideal and wise guide to lead us through the maze of experience and shine a light towards the best pathways forward.

Below is a basic look at a recent reading for a busy and overstressed businessperson who was lacking clear direction.
After mixing the cards, we began our journey in the centre of the reading.
The Lute card speaks to wine and music, taking time out to relax and enjoy easier times, something he claimed to have no time to do.
But we talked of the benefits to health of pausing, listening to music, reading a good book or watching a movie, walking in green places and reconnecting to the current of nature and the natural order.
He then revealed that, prior to starting his own business, he was a professional musician who played in a band for ten years.
In fact he had purchased a new guitar a year ago but it was still sitting, untouched, on a stand in the corner of the living room!
Perhaps he would get it out and play a little. The Lute, of course, a forerunner of the guitar!
To the East cards below this, a combination of renewal, letting go of ties that bind us and developing patience.
He finds it hard to imagine a different life and career but admitted to feeling jaded with his current projects.
The Toad card is connected to concepts of self care and slow, careful healing,
The Phoenix is the bird of revival but only once the ashes of the old are swept away.
Change is required, either internally in terms of beliefs and attitudes that are limiting him and restricting him.
Or externally, be that moving things around, giving up lost causes or redistributing his energy and focus. Something to work on in meditation and self reflection.
It begs the question "what do you REALLY want to do next"?
Soon comes the time for decision making.
The West , Pearl and Commence cards lead us into the near future. What influences are at play?
Finding good partnerships and nurturing them with regard to an idea that requires patience and polishing.
It was here that he revealed that he does has a different and new business idea and he is slowly negotiating this with financial backers who may also partner up with him to take it on.
Here he is advised that it may have lots of value. Also that forward movement may be possible in the next six weeks.
This is a project that has social value as well as making a profit and we discussed why that appeals to him so much.
His mother had been a doctor and father a social worker, aiding those who were homeless, so he has a yearning to contribute in some way and now that he is is his mid forties.
The House and Knot cards illustrate obstacles that need overcoming or working through.
He told me that the office he is based in is now too expensive for renting and he has been very stressed trying to find an alternative venue.
The knot is significant because it illustrates being caught up or tangled and feeling unable to negotiate a path through the forest.
Patience is advised to carefully unpick the strings that bind!
A team has been built up in his existing business and he feels a certain amount of loyalty to them, especially those who have been there the longest and have shown a lot of loyalty.
However, he cannot run two businesses.
One has to go if the other is to succeed and the pandemic has meant that he has had two years of financial losses and with no end in sight.
The Fire card is a very dramatic symbol. Perhaps the time is almost right to allow the old business to close.
He cannot sustain the losses anyway. And although sad, fire clears a path to move forward.
His new business needs no office and the staff who may join will be self employed, an entirely different model.
He told me that he had to consider selling his family house in order to continue paying wages. Again, a topic requiring some deep meditation.
What does he NEED to let go of in order to proceed and succeed?
He agreed that, instead of getting caught up in ever circling thought processes that deprive him of sleep and leave him spent and exhausted each morning.
Perhaps he COULD put aside ten minutes each day for silent sitting and inner contemplation.
He wished me to decide for him, but that is something I NEVER do .
These readings are designed for getting clarity and SELF guidance I reminded him.
He had to be his own Guru! I could only help guide him through the journey.
Finally, Pearl, Dragon and Water. Pearl Geisha, already seen earlier is also about the need for self care.
Diet, sleep and relaxation as a foundation for improvement and then we are better able to make decisions and facilitate change.
Wellbeing has to be a priority, self kindness must be introduced and built in .
When did he last have a sauna, a massage, a walk in the woods, a swim, a run, a delicious and nutritious meal, a hug,
He could not recall, it had been so long. These things had been ignored or forgotten as he became ever more absorbed in his stressful worries.
Dragon? Great for commerce and business!
With a flick of the tail the Dragon brings great potential change and with positive outcomes.
But one needs to cling on tight as it flies, for you may have to abandon old, outmoded beliefs and ideas, people and situations that are no longer serving your authentic purpose.
A transformative experience awaits!
Water is symbol of clarity and communication, clear expression.
How could he get clear of swirling thoughts that simply kept circling in his mind?
He realised that getting thoughts out of his head was helpful.
He would write a gratitude filled letter to his business team and advising them of possible changes.
Gently explore and take the bull by the horns, so to speak.
He would explain his reasons more easily and once he had clarified them to himself.
The best way to do this was through putting a little time aside each morning for silent sitting and breathing.
To ask the universe to help him be clear on these matters and to have a pen and paper to hand in order to write down revelations, insights, thoughts and expressions.
Realisations that captured the essence of his predicament or suggested solutions.
I had given no instructions in this session.
We were guided by the cards and my interpretative knowledge of their inherent meanings.
From there, it was a conversation that followed its own path and he left with his notes, an actionable plan for moving forward through a time of challenge and change.
He took with him a photo of the beautiful layout, and a much needed spring in his step.
Just one example of the benefits of these readings. One of many hundreds I have given.
Now he felt ready to fly.
